Product description
U-BOAT Sommerso Bronzo Ceramic 8486
The U-BOAT Sommerso Bronzo Ceramic 8486 embodies a rich heritage of Italian craftsmanship, tracing its roots back to 1942. Originally designed by Ilvo Fontana for the Italian Navy, these timepieces were known for their durability and legibility. Rediscovered by his grandson Italo Fontana in 2000, the original blueprints inspired the creation of U-BOAT, a brand characterized by oversized cases, left-hand crowns, and a unique Tuscan aesthetic. The Sommerso collection continues this legacy, drawing inspiration from the world of submarines, and marrying rugged durability with elegant design.
This model features a robust 46 mm diameter bronze case, which develops a unique patina over time, reflecting the wearer's journey. The black dial is paired with bold indices and hands, ensuring easy readability. The watch is equipped with a screw-down crown and offers an impressive 30 ATM water resistance, making it suitable for diving. Powered by an automatic Sellita SW200 movement, it provides a reliable 38-hour power reserve. The genuine leather strap in brown, secured with a buckle, complements the bronze case and brown bezel, adding to its rugged charm.

Power reserve
-
(Read more) 38 hoursThe watch has a power reserve of 38 hours. This is the amount of time an automatic watch without a battery can continue to run after it has been fully winded. Within a maximum of 38 hours, the watch must be in motion or be winded by turning the crown to keep it running. The watch can always be winded up again even if you exceed the 38 hours.
Watch Jewels
-
(Read more) 26 JewelsThe 26 jewels in this watch are small gemstones, commonly rubies, embedded in an automatic movement. They serve as lubrication, reducing friction in the moving parts and ensuring a smooth and reliable operation of the movement.
