How to adjust a watch strap
We all know the feeling. You have your brand-new watch and can't wait to wear it on your wrist. The watch comes with a stylish watch strap, but it turns out that it needs to be adjusted to fit your wrist perfectly. It's extremely rare for a strap to be ready-made to fit perfectly on the wrist, which is why a guide to adjusting the watch strap is almost indispensable. If you find that you need an extra link for your strap, you can always order additional links for watches we have in stock right here.
Removing links from the watch strap
Whether you need to remove links or add extra links, you'll need tools to adjust the strap. If you purchase an inexpensive tool kit for adjusting watch bracelets, you can save a trip to the watchmaker. Here, we will provide you with a guide on how to adjust the strap on your watch.
Adjustment of the watch strap
Consider how much you need to remove from the strap. Typically, there are about 6 removable links on the bracelet, and in some cases, 3 fine adjustment hooks on the clasp.
On the back of the strap, there are small arrows indicating which direction to press the pin out.
Place the strap in the gray plastic block with the arrows facing downward, allowing them to be pushed out in the correct direction.
Take one of the punch pins and the small hammer, and gently tap a pin out of the bracelet. The pin should loosen and come out on the other end. Be careful not to scratch the strap.
Reassemble the strap by pressing a pin in the opposite direction of the arrow on the back of the bracelet once the desired number of links has been removed.
