Product description
Diesel Mega Chief DZ1206
Diesel Mega Chief DZ1206 is a large-format quartz watch built around a 46 mm stainless steel case and a multi-layered dial that stacks three distinct visual planes.
The dial runs a brushed grey centre, a black outer ring carrying printed minute markings, and a grey textured pattern ring between them - applied angular hour markers and a large printed '12' numeral sit across these layers. The silver-tone stainless steel case measures 46 mm in diameter and 12 mm thick, with a mix of brushed and polished surfaces and angled lugs; the hands carry luminous fill, a date window sits at 3 o'clock, and the whole dial is protected by mineral glass. A dark brown genuine leather strap with visible grain and tonal stitching finishes the watch, and at 24 mm width it accepts any universal-labelled replacement strap.

Diesel: Italian Fashion Roots
Diesel was founded in Italy in 1978 by Renzo Rosso and sits within the OTB group. The brand produces watches under its own name, positioned as fashion watches rather than as traditional horology. The Mega Chief line follows that approach with an oversized stainless-steel case, quartz movement, and leather strap as its defining construction.
46 mm Case, 10 ATM Rated
The Diesel Mega Chief DZ1206 pairs a 46 mm, 12 mm-thick stainless steel case with a 10 ATM water resistance rating, meaning it holds up to swimming conditions. The mineral glass keeps the package straightforward - scratch-resistant it is not, but it is a standard choice for a watch at this size and price point. The 24 mm universal strap width means replacement leather or other strap options are easy to source without hunting for a proprietary fitting.

Water Resistance
-
(Read more) 10 ATM / 100 meterThe watch is water resistant to 100 meters of water pressure (10 ATM) under static conditions without movement or temperature fluctuations. This means the watch is resistant to general bathing activities. However, the watch is not classified as a diver’s watch, and we therefore do not recommend diving deeper than 2 meters while wearing the watch.
Glass

(Read more) Mineral GlassThe watch is equipped with mineral glass, a hardened and heat-treated glass material that provides flexibility, making it more resistant to shattering upon impact. Scratch and wear resistance are measured on the Mohs hardness scale, which ranges from 1 to 10. Mineral Glass ranks at 5-6 on this scale.
Functions
-
(Read more) DateThe watch is equipped with a date display that advances every second time the hour hand passes 12 o'clock. The date display counts up to 31 days and must be manually adjusted in months with fewer than 31 days.
